RAW LINSEED OIL - 20L
Raw Linseed Oil is a pale amber refined oil, especially suitable for protecting and nourishing hard woods. Conforms to BS6900.
Directions to use:
To make a Linseed Oil finish, mix 8 parts of Raw Linseed Oil to one part genuine turpentine. On hardwood only this produces a tough linoxyn surface. When using Raw Linseed Oil, take time to build up a good finish. A thin film will dry in about 4 days, resulting in a tough glossy surface. Too much oiling can make the surface dull and sticky. This can be removed with a cloth pad soaked in a Turps Substitute.
Restoring Putty: Hard putty can be restored by adding and kneading with Raw Linseed Oil.
Heat Marks: Using a warm soft cloth apply equal parts of Raw Linseed Oil and a Turps Substitute. Allow to dwell on the surface for a time before removing with vinegar.
After Use: Immediately after use, saturate all soiled application cloths with water and dispose of them safely outside the home. Clean equipment with White Spirit. Replace lid firmly after use. STORE AWAY FROM HEAT AND FLAMES. To avoid the risk of spillage, always store and transport in a secure, upright position.
Health & Safety:
Do not leave soiled application cloths where they may constitute a fire hazard, as they are liable to spontaneous combustion i.e. self-igniting without warning, as with all Linseed Oils.
After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water or a recognised skin cleaner - DO NOT USE SOLVENT OR THINNERS.
In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
